Yes, I agree there's a ton we don't know yet. As for the other benefits (apart from serious medical conditions, like Epilepsie or anxiety / depression where it can be really therapeutic) I found the benefits tapered off for me after a while / my health got worse. For example energy: yes in the beginning I felt more stable, however after 3-4 years I experienced more lethargy, didn't have energy and was cold all the time.
As for Zach Bitter: He's a great athlete and I didn't mean to criticize him. However, I was one of those people who thought keto running means keto as done "by the books" when this is clearly not what he does. And it's still true: you do need carbs if you want to run well. Why would he use them if that would not be the case? Because he found too that having more carbs is beneficial. Sure he doesn't carb load, but that's a thing not every runner does anyways.
