"Microhabits" also don't work for me. I found it takes too much of my focus if I have a lot of things on my plate each day. It's also the opposite of what's described in "The One Thing" - that is having one main goal, one main activity etc. not focuing on several. It's a great book :). I found this to be a much better strategy for achieving my goals.
