I feel the same about running. I wear a watch but I don't check my pace at races and also not on the vast majority of my runs. I use it mainly as "normal" watch to keep track how many hours I have been out and how many km's approx I have run. I only check other data like pace once I am home. Often I don't even check pace. I love the simplicity of running and that my overthinking mind can switch off for a while. Nice article :) Thank you for writing.
