I agree. It was impossible for me to build "on the side" while having a job that included an hour minimum of commute... I mean being 12-14 hours away from home when do you work on your side hustle when you also need to take care of basic things like household and sleep? I think we each need to find our own path. For me it finally was to quit my job, take a part-time job that I only need to worry about when I am there for 3h a day and work on my biz the rest of the time.
