How interesting :) I think many people are way underprepared for emergencies, not only in supplies but also mentally. They would freak out. I also think going through hard times gives you freedom. It somehow teaches you self-reliance and also patience. We used to have our water and electricity turned off more times thanI can remember when I grew up etc. Sure it felt horrible back then but I developed some habits that come in handy if I should ever run out of money again.
